Transporting your buggy

A special locking strap is located on the cross brace bar, or for the swift on the handlebar. Wrap this strap around the axle and then clip fasteners together to secure buggy stays closed when folded.

Adjustable handlebar

Adjust the height of the handlebar by pressing both buttons on either side of the handlebar and click into a position that is comfortable for you.

How to care for your buggy

Our buggies have been engineered tough and designed to handle all terrain. To keep your buggy working effectively and safely for years to come, follow these simple care tips.

Brake

The brake should be lubricated regularly to maintain optimum operation. It may require extra lubrication if the brake is stiff to operate.

Cleaning

Fabric

The fabric should be cleaned regularly. Brush off any excess dirt or sand and rinse with lukewarm water. Fabric can be removed and washed by hand using a mild natural soap solution in lukewarm water (no more than 38°C/100°F). Rinse thoroughly. DO NOT tumble dry or dry in strong sunlight.

To avoid fabric fading, cover the buggy if it is exposed to direct sunlight e.g. in a car or if stored in exposed areas.

Frame

If the buggy is exposed to salt water, salt spray or beach sand, wash any steel parts of the buggy by using warm soapy water, then dry thoroughly and protect by spraying with light aerosol can oil, e.g. WD40® or CRC®.

Handlebar grip

Take care to protect the handlebar grip from abrasion or sharp objects. Damage to the foam grip happens with normal wear and tear. It is not covered by your warranty but we can replace it for you at your cost. There are two ways to replace the foam grip.

Order a replacement handlebar grip from your local retailer stating which buggy you have.

Visit your local retailer to have the handlebar grip replaced for you.

Storage

Store buggy inside in a dry place but away from central heating units/radiators and do not store in airing or hotwater cupboards. Fabric may develop mould or mildew if stored in humid or damp conditions.

All buggies produced since 2006 feature a fold lock, which stops the buggy from unfolding.

Tyres

We recommend that you use our tyre pump to maintain pressure. This can be purchased from your local retailer.

The correct tyre pressure maximum is 20psi, (140KPa). Do not exceed 30psi (210KPa). At this pressure you should still be able to indent the tyre with your thumb. Over inflated tyres can cause the rim to buckle and the tyre may explode.

Tyre tubes

If a puncture occurs the inner tube can be repaired with a bicycle repair kit, or replaced. If tread becomes worn the tyre should be replaced. Contact your local retailer, or most cycle stores have tubes and repair kits.

How to use our tyre pump

To use our tyre pump, remove the connection hose and attach relevant ends to top of pump and wheel valve. Do not overtighten. Ensure there is no tension on the connection hose while inflating tyre.

Wheels

New bearings, tyres, inner tubes and rims are available to purchase as a complete set from your retailer. The front and rear wheels use different sized bearings. When ordering new parts please state that you need front or rear wheel parts.
