Fit and Flexible!

20 October 2008
Lisa Jaggi (Toddler)

So I’m finally in my final trimester, nearing week 30….and feeling ENORMOUS!  Yep, the bump has grown over the past 3 months to reach massive proportions.  I may be exaggerating just a tad, but in all honesty, I do feel very LARGE.
Tarn is finding it harder and harder to sit on my lap as the bump (and baby inside) boot him out of the way…although it’s surprising how easily little people can adjust to finding a new cosy nook on your body to rest.  I feel like I have run a marathon after tying my shoelaces, afternoon naps are starting to become a necessity again, and doing the dishes is becoming a logistical exercise as the bump blocks me from getting too close to the sink (good excuse to avoid the dishes huh?! – My husband’s not so sure. He he he.)

All in all however…I feel wonderful!  The little babe is constantly wriggling and prodding from within to remind me that it’s all worth it.  I have also found myself a personal trainer (my lovely friend down the road) and stretching coach (my husband) to get myself fit and flexible for the impending birth.  They are both wonderful at coaxing me into action for a brisk walk with child laden mountain buggy and dogs in tow, or reminding me to do my stretches before bed.  I am so grateful to those supporting me throughout my pregnancy; it’s such an important part of staying fit and positive…ready for what’s to come!

Me, Tarn and our friend Jackson getting some exercise at the pool!
