WOW! What a Night!

Lisa Jaggi (Toddler)

This week I have experienced the joys of another week down in Wellington with family.  The icing on the cake however, is that I am now the proud sister of the supreme winner at the World of Wearable Art (WOW) awards! Yep, my week of rest and relaxation started with a night out (without my lovely son and husband) to the WOW show.  The artistic talent on display was phenomenal!

The evening was unbelievably entertaining, bar a couple of minor issues that plagued me throughout the night…one being the fact that I had to leave the show twice to visit my porcelain friend, and that my seemingly comfortable pants (at the beginning of the night) became more and more unbearable around my middle…not to mention the reflux….enough said huh?!  Despite all of this, I was transfixed by the display of colour and creation, and the adrenalin burst that ensued when my sisters name was called as the overall winner for her costume 'Ornitho Maia' (Bird Mother) sent little junior into a near frenzy inside my belly!  The night turned into a very late one indeed, well beyond my pregnancy bedtime to say the least.

I now find myself sitting here feeling as proud as punch and a tad creatively inspired…I wonder if I could create a piece of wearable art out of old Mountain Buggy parts for next years show, now that would be unusual??  He he he...or maybe I should just leave the design concepts to my sister!
