As a first time parent you have a lot to think about and have a lot of purchase decisions to make.  Your buggy purchase is a significant one. Read the most frequently asked questions from first time parents to help you choose the right buggy for you and your baby.


Can I use mountain buggy with my newborn?

Yes! All our buggies can be adapted to cater for newborns through to 4/5 years old.
For newborns you have several options:

  • Use our buggies’ custom fit carrycots for newborn to 6months, which has a quick and easy attachment system

OR

  • adjust the seat back to lie flat position.

AND

  • we have travel systems that fit a range of carseat models so you can attach the carseat directly onto your buggy

Do the aesthetics of the buggy appeal to both mum and dad?

Our buggies have a deliberate design aesthetic of clean lines and functional style. The end result is a robust but sleek functional buggy that is easy to use and handle. Whether it's mum or dad behind the wheel, they will both look great pounding the city pavements or walking it off track.
Our buggies have an adjustable handle so the user can set the handle to their ideal height.

Is it easy to use mountain buggy in the city?

Our buggies’ swivelling front wheel(s) allows them to maneuvre easily in busy streets with little effort. Parents regularly comment that they can turn the buggy with just one finger.

Can I get active with this buggy?

Yes, so don’t throw out your exercise regime! The front wheel can be locked to the fixed position to give you more stability, so you can take on fast walking or light jogging on all terrain with ease.

Can I use this across all terrain?

Mountain buggies are very durable and have been tested rigorously to ensure they can withstand the tough demands of going across all terrain. They have a sturdy frame and the front wheel can be locked to a fixed position to give the buggy greater stability when going across uneven ground. Mountain Buggy parents use their buggies in all sorts of locations so they can continue to pursue their passions and live a life without limit.

Is it easy to clean?

It is very easy to keep your buggy clean. For the fabric, just use lukewarm water and mild natural soap and let it dry naturally away from direct sunlight. For the frame, use soapy water to wipe down any steel parts that are exposed to environments such as salt water and spray with a light aerosol can oil e.g. WD40 or CRC.

Can the buggy grow with my family?

The duo can take two children of mixed ages or twins side by side with lots of seat room for both. The duo modular adaptable design allows for it to be turned into a pram with optional carrycots available to suit twins, baby and toddler or two toddlers.

All of our buggies can also accommodate a kiddyboard for children up to the weight of 45kg to stand on between the back of the buggy seat and handle. 

Can I use my mountain buggy on public transport?

It is easy with a mountain buggy because of it's quick and easy two step fold down system. Folding down your buggy only takes a few seconds so then it is easy to carry your buggy onto the train or bus.

What accessories do I need?

Each buggy has essential accessories which ensure you can live life without limit. Come sun, wind or rain you can get out and about with the buggies custom fit storm cover and sun cover which provides great protection for your child.

The buggies also have a travel bag which is essential if you are often travelling, as it protects the buggy, is easy to carry and has enough room to pack all your child items.

Most parents recommend the carrycot and the travel system as it is so easy to click on and off the buggy while baby still sleeps.

To add little more comfort and warmth there are three options; the 100% lambswool liner, or the reversible 2 colour fleece liner or sleeping bag which both come in a range of colours.
